Simona & the desert

We went out one November (2016) afternoon deep into the Californian desert to film a song she was working on back then. It was sunny and hot day, the Joshua tree vibe was all around so we decided to take some pictures. Unfortunately all I had on me was my phone, so the quality of the pictures didn’t look so great. Almost 2 years after I decided to come back and edit some of the stills I took and give them a personal feel. I played with exposures, filters, light, saturation and this is what came up.
